Jazz can be heard in the New Haven area primarily on WLIU FM - 88.3. This station, located on the campus of the University of Long Island, provides a full daily format of news (BBC, PRI and NPR) and jazz programming. WLIU provides internet radio listening as well. Ed German, a prominent D.J. at the station, has feted our class live on his show known as the Urban Jazz Experience. We are truly indebted to Ed German for his efforts in recognizing the work of the children and promoting jazz to the listeners in our community. Jazz can also be heard from 6:00 a.m.- 8:00 a.m. locally, Monday through Friday, on WNHU FM- 88.7 and on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on WPKN FM - 89.5. Those with good reception might also listen to jazz weeknights (8:00 pm - 11:30 pm) on WFCR 88.5 FM.
